Refund & Cancellation Policy
This Zero Refund Policy applies to all students, candidates, and applicants who have enrolled in or paid fees towards any course offered at AMTCR, including but not limited to GP Rating, CCMC (Certificate Course in Maritime Catering), ETo (Electro-Technical Officer), DNS and any other pre-sea or post-sea training programs.
By paying the admission/course fee, the student and their parent/guardian unconditionally agree to the terms of this policy.
1. ALL FEES ARE STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE
1.1 All fees paid to AMTCR — including but not limited to Registration Fee, Admission Fee, Course Fee, Hostel Fee, Uniform Fee, Kit Fee, Medical Examination Fee, Documentation Fee, Caution Money, and any other charges — are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances whatsoever.
1.2 This policy applies regardless of:
Whether the student has attended classes or not
Whether the course has commenced or not
Whether the student withdraws voluntarily or is asked to leave
Whether the cancellation is due to personal, medical, or family reasons
Whether the student fails to obtain a visa or medical fitness certificate
Whether the student secures admission elsewhere
Whether the student is unable to join due to any reason beyond their control
2. NO TRANSFER OR ADJUSTMENT OF FEES
2.1 Fees paid for one course cannot be transferred, adjusted, or carried forward to any other course, batch, semester, or academic year under any circumstances.
2.2 Fees paid for one student cannot be transferred in the name of another student or candidate.
3. NO REFUND ON WITHDRAWAL
3.1 If a student voluntarily withdraws from the course — after commencement — no refund of any fee will be entertained.
3.2 If a student is expelled, rusticated, or asked to leave the institute due to disciplinary action, misconduct, violation of institute rules, or failure to meet academic standards, no refund of any fee will be applicable.
3.3 If a student abandons the course midway for any reason, including but not limited to personal reasons, employment, health, or relocation, no fee will be refunded.
4. NO REFUND ON MEDICAL / VISA REJECTION
4.1 If a student is declared medically unfit by a DG Shipping approved panel doctor after admission and fee payment, no refund shall be issued. Students are strongly advised to undergo a preliminary medical check-up before paying fees.
4.2 If a student’s visa application is rejected (in the case of international programs or voyages), no refund shall be issued. The institute bears no responsibility for visa decisions made by foreign embassies or consulates.
5. NO REFUND DUE TO COURSE CHANGES OR DELAYS
5.1 If the institute, at its sole discretion, revises the course curriculum, changes the course schedule, adjusts batch dates, or modifies program content in compliance with DG Shipping or IMO guidelines, no refund claim shall be entertained.
5.2 If a batch is delayed by up to 60 days due to operational, administrative, regulatory, or force majeure reasons, no refund shall be applicable. The student’s seat will be adjusted to the next available batch.
